TOOLS: scissors, cellophane tape, white glue, markers
1- Cut the paper plates in half so that you
‘ have half a plate f o reach guest.
2- For each puppet, cut a strip of paper, 1 by 9 inches (2.5 X 23 cm), from each o f the six colors of construction paper.
3- Make one sample puppet ahead of time so that everyone can see how it is made. Fold the two sides of the paper plate together t o form a pie-wedge shape.
4- Glue the ends of the strips of paper inside the wide end of the plate. Press the front and back of the folded plate together t o glue the strips in place. The colorful strips are the puppet’s rainbow-colored hair.
5- Slide the Popsicle stick inside the tip of the folded plate. Tape the stick t o the plate t o hold it in place. Tape the edges of the folded plate together t o keep it closed.
6- Draw a face with markers on the front of the puppet.
